Savoring Spring (and Summer!)



With all the herbs growing in the greenhouse we are always looking for ways to use up their trimmings!  At last week's Savoring Spring event we served up some herb-infused waters.  Nothing complicated, but quite tasty!  The ingredients were slightly muddled and added to water for about twelve hours prior to serving.  Here's the combos we tried:

Strawberry & Basil

Lemon & Thyme

Cucumber, Mint & Jalapeno

At the end of the night, it was clear that Strawberry & Basil was the favorite and folks were most hesitant to try the Cucumber, Mint & Jalapeno.  The jalapeno may have sounded a little spicy!  However, those who did try the Cucumber, Mint & Jalapeno were pleasantly surprised to find that the cool cucumber and spicy jalapeno flavors balanced each other nicely.  You never know until you try!

We can only imagine the all flavors you can conjure from your garden...get creative & enjoy!
